Snapshots of Sheffield Street: A Visual Narrative of Saint John, New Brunswick’s “Unsavoury Precinct"
KC Wilcox is an artist, illustrator, and designer. She completed her Bachelor of Design at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 2014. She has mentored with Raymond Biesinger, was a featured artist on CBC's The Exhibitionists, and exhibited projects across Canada. She lives in Saint John, New Brunswick (Menagoesq/Menahqesk), an unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Wabanaki. Wilcox is queer, half-French Canadian, a descendant of Acadian, Loyalist, and European settler ancestors.
Gemma Marr holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council in the Department of Historical Studies at the University of New Brunswick, Fredericton Campus, and teaches in the Department of Humanities and Languages at UNB Saint John. She has published articles in the Journal of Canadian Studies and Studies in Canadian Literature and book reviews for Atlantic Books Today and The Miramichi Reader. She completed her PhD at Carleton University in August of 2022. Her work focuses on gender and sexuality in Atlantic Canada, with a particular interest in the province of New Brunswick.
