Illustrating Human Relationships to Nature through Reinterpreting Folklore of the River Severn
Katie Forrester's illustration work draws on narrative theory, nature, folk- and fairy-tale. The starting point for her research interests was through her doctoral study at the University of Edinburgh and as an artist in residence for the Scottish Early Literature for Children Initiative (SELCIE). To build on this, she is currently working with The Folk of Gloucester to create installations to explore and promote their storytelling library in the local area. This project forms a part of her ongoing research as a Senior Lecturer at University of Gloucestershire.
