Runaway Poetics: Mapping Histories of Migration through Comics and Co-creation from a Child's Perspective

Kremena Dimitrova is a London based illustrator-as-historian who specialises in visualising history in the heritage sector with a focus on unearthing untold, hidden, forgotten, and marginalised narratives. Kremena teaches visual culture at the University of Portsmouth in the UK where she is conducting an interdisciplinary practice-based PhD which conceptualises comics-as-maps-as-poetry as a comics-based research method for visualising histories of migration through co-creation from a child’s perspective.
