Concrete Blocks: An exploration of Harlow as a new town / sculpture town / Essex town

Laura works with mark-making, mainly across drawing, printmaking and painting. Her work documents everyday scenes and seasonal changes through the lens of landscape. Using mark-making, colour and tone to capture these familiar spaces. Observed gradually and eventually drawn. These drawings then become postcards, prints, books or simply remain as drawings. Recent projects include Land, a book exploring the history of landscape within art, using both writing and drawing. In Keeping, a series of drawings responding to the work of the sculptor Gerda Rubinstein, commissioned by Harlow Art Trust. Laura is also a graduate of Camberwell College of Arts.
