Lee Shearman is a multi-disciplinary artist, illustrator-educator, and part-time lecturer in BA Illustration at the University of Portsmouth. His creative practice spans artists’ books, graphic design, collage, and stop-frame animation. Lee’s pedagogical research is focused on the role of play in creative learning, and innovative approaches to illustration research methods. As an image maker, his current work explores industrial archaeology, codification, and archives through speculative illustration. Lee is the founder of Micro Library Books, a small-press publishing platform dedicated to creating hand-made, pocket-sized artists’ books and zines.
