Steph Parr is a senior lecturer in Graphic Design at Nottingham Trent University. She graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Visual Communication in 2017, where she co-ran the illustration forum, Ill-Informed. Steph’s visual practice uses observational drawing as a method to find meaning in non-meaning. Her research is fascinated by the social and communicative act of drawing rather than the finished outcome. As part of her ongoing practical research, Steph runs regular workshops called Can’t Draw Club, which challenge perceptions of skill and access, utilising drawing as a form of dialogue.
