Sheena Calvert

Dr. Sheena Calvert is an artist, designer, writer, and educator. She researches into the significance of 'material language' through the various philosophies associated with it, in combination with ethics and political philosophy. She has a fully equipped letterpress printing studio, where she produces work on these topics and more. Her research projects include 'metalanguage', where she uses language to examine language. In her teaching practice, she teaches across design, fine art, illustration and experimental communication, at UAL and the RCA, working across both practice and theory. She has an MFA from Yale University and a PhD from Greenwich University.
